2024 – numbers matter, and people count
Shufflebottom’s on-going story of success continued in all aspects of our business throughout 2024. The countless steel-framed buildings we delivered and the tonnages of structural steel underpinned the futures of our customers in the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors. As importantly, we continued to support charities close to home and close to our heart, and committed to Faith in Families as our chosen charity for 2024-2025.

We’re always thrilled when we see local Carmarthenshire businesses go from strength to strength. Especially when we’ve been part of their development over the years. Such is the case with our near neighbour, Castell Howell, proudly based at Cross Hands Food Park.
Shufflebottom is proud to be part of ENCON’s complete construction solution
Shufflebottom is proud to share the news that construction is well underway and our structural steel now underpins a brand new detached and sustainable warehousing and manufacturing space at Unit 4, Heads of the Valleys Industrial Estate in Rhymney, south Wales.
Working in collaboration with construction and civil engineering specialists, ENCON, who are the lead contractor for this project, we have delivered 176 tonnes of hot-rolled steel and 22 tonnes of cold-rolled steel which will be at the structural heart of this Unit which is on target to be completed by the end of 2024.

Shufflebottom is proud to be at the heart of transformational Carmarthenshire project
Shufflebottom is proud to announce that it is continuing its already successful relationship with Bouygues UK. Bouygues UK is the lead contractor on a ground-breaking development in Carmarthen town centre that will see the old retail store of Debenhams transformed into a state-of-the-art health, wellbeing, educational and leisure hub that will include a high-spec family entertainment centre.
Helping to deliver Ysgol Y Deri – a very special school
Shufflebottom is proud to announce that its structural steel will be at the heart of the £20 million state-of-the-art expansion of special needs school, Ysgol Y Deri in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Shufflebottom helps deliver new LBS building in Maesteg
At the end of June, the LBS Group opened its brand new branch at Heol Ty Gwyn on the Industrial Estate at Maesteg. Shufflebottom, working with its long-standing customer, Malpross Services, is proud to have supplied the steel-framed building for this development.
