A Canterbury Tale
Canterbury has long been associated with Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales but today there is a modern-day tale with a happy ending set in this market town in Kent, the Garden of England. That is, the tale of the strong association between Mr Drew, the owner of the fabulously named Each Manor Farm, and us at Shufflebottom, the award-winning manufacturer of structural steel and steel-framed buildings for the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors.
Not for the first time, Shufflebottom’s loyal customer, Mr Drew, has come back to us this year for another agricultural steel-framed building for his farm. This time for a general purpose agricultural building with a lean-to along one side.
It’s a building of scope, and although we say it ourselves, of some beauty too, sitting as it does in the stunning south-east of England landscape. The main building is 100ft long x 8ft wide x 16ft 4ins to eaves with 5 x 20ft bays. The lean—to is 100ft long x 15ft wide x 11ft 8ins to 1 side with 5 x 20ft bays. Blending beautifully with the mixed farmland is the Juniper Green roof, clad in P6R Fibre Cement and the building sides vertically clad in 0.5mm Shufflebottom 1000/32 Plastic Coated Box Profile, also in Juniper Green, with met SEC side rails.
We supply range of steel-framed buildings to our customers in the agricultural sector across Kent, the SE and the UK as a whole, including, but not confined to:
