In full swing

At Shufflebottom we always look forward to the Agricultural Show Season. It’s a lovely opportunity for our #teamofsteel to meet and greet customers, old and new, and welcome them to chat with us about all that’s going on in the business.

The season is already in full swing and we’ve been hitting the road across the UK with our characteristic Shufflebottom trailer-van and pop-up stand with our distinctive elephant branding. To date we have enjoyed days at the LAMMA Show in Birmingham in January, the Farm Expo Show in Kent in March,  and in May, both the Pig and Poultry Show at Birmingham’s NEC and the Royal Welsh Agricultural Spring Fayre in Builth Wells.

There are a lot more shows planned and we’d love to see you at one – or all – of the shows coming up:

  • The Cereals Event, 11th – 12th June, 2024, Bygrave Woods, Newnham Farm, North Herts

  • The Royal Highland Show, 20th – 23rd June, 2024, Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh

  • The Royal Welsh Show Agricultural Show, 22nd – 25th July, 2024, Builth Wells Show Ground, Powys

  • Royal Welsh Winter Fayre, 27th – 28th November, 2024, Builth Wells Show Ground, Powys

There certainly is much to talk about in Farming and the Rural Economy at the moment and it is so useful for us to hear about the hot-button issues: production costs; the state of the pig industry; food security; the continuing squeeze on the prices farmers get at source; and of course, the ‘No Farmers, No Food’ campaign. We also get to hear the upsides: the innovative diversification many farmers are making and accounts of successful field to fork operations. Stories from those on the ground are a great source of insight for a business like ours as we strive to continue to respond to the diverse range of needs of those involved in the agricultural sector.

Though they are termed ‘Agricultural Shows’ our experience tells us that one size does not fit all and we have a track record of delivering structural-steel building solutions for a wide range of customers involved in the sector. That’s why the Shufflebottom name is synonymous with quality.

We offer a bespoke service, creating a building exactly to suit your requirements and the particular nature of your site as well as supplying standard farm buildings. Our portfolio of buildings includes, but is not limited to:

  • Equestrian buildings

  • General-purpose buildings

  • Grain stores

  • Hay and straw barns

  • Livestock units

  • Milking parlours

  • Pig units

  • Sheep housing

  • Vegetable stores

As one of the UK’s leading independent manufacturers of structural steel-work and steel-framed buildings, the shows are an opportunity for us at Shufflebottom to showcase our acknowledged experience and expertise in the design, manufacture, supply, delivery and erection of steel-framed buildings for the agricultural sector. And of course to have a chat and a cup of tea!

We hope to see you soon!
