2024 – numbers matter, and people count

Shufflebottom’s on-going story of success continued in all aspects of our business throughout 2024. The countless steel-framed buildings we delivered and the tonnages of structural steel underpinned the futures of our customers in the agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors. As importantly, we continued to support charities close to home and close to our heart, and committed to Faith in Families as our chosen charity for 2024-2025.

  • To date, in 2024, we have delivered 446 steel-framed buildings, (ShuffSheds) to a diverse range of customers across the UK

  • New customers bought into our steel-framed buildings for the first time in 2024. To date, we are grateful for the 138 buildings they have purchased – that’s over 2 per week!

  • Our long-standing customers continued to invest in us – some since our inception in 1977 – quoting that their repeat business was down to the ‘trust, excellence and outstanding customer service’ synonymous with the Shufflebottom brand

  • We added dates to our Agricultural Show calendar in 2024, and in November attended the Farm Business & Innovation Show at the NEC, The Midlands Machinery Show at Newark, and The Vineyard & Winery Show at Kent County Showground. This added to our spring and summer schedule at LAMMA, The British Pig & Poultry Show, The Royal Highland Show, The Royal Norfolk Show, and The Royal Welsh Agricultural Show. It was great to network with customers and discuss how Shufflebottom buildings might support their agricultural development and diversification. We hope to see you all again in 2025!

  • Our #teamofsteel at Shufflebottom remained constant and  loyal at 79 members of staff

  • We have strived for gender parity in the workplace and our #womenofsteel here at Shufflebotttom number 12, which is above the national average in an historically male dominated construction industry

  • We have offered 2 new apprenticeships in 2024, illustrating our commitment to skills’ development and the local economy

  • 3 work-experience students joined us this year, endorsing our commitment to future generations

  • We continued together to raise both much-needed funds and awareness for our long-standing charities, Prostate Cymru, Tenovus, and Breast Cancer Wales. We look forward to doing the same for Faith In Families, our chosen charity 2024-2025

  • We worked hard for coherence and clarity in our marketing and design communications, aiming to make our brand more consistent and accessible to our customers across digital, print and social media

None of our success would happen without our customers, our suppliers, our partners, or our #teamofsteel here at Shufflebottom. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Nadolig Llawen a Blwyddyn Newydd Dda. And we very much hope that you will continue to be part of our story as we look forward to 2025.
