Going with the grain

It is always satisfying when our customers keep returning to us time and time again. Their re-investment in Shufflebottom as their preferred supplier of steel-framed buildings is a source of pride that we never take for granted.

Such is the case with our longstanding customer, A Cullen & Sons Ltd. of Chase Farm, Billericay, Essex. Now under the ownership and stewardship of Mr Glyn Cullen, this cereal farm has come to Shufflebottom for the manufacture and delivery of 10 steel-framed buildings to support the expansion of his business for over 20 years.

The latest building to be delivered to Mr Cullen is of considerable size, being 100ft long x 60ft wide plus a portal frame side extension of 40ft length x 60ft width. The building sits comfortably in the Essex landscape with its grey fire cement roof and box profile sides and is to be used for grain storage.

This project with Mr Cullen is yet more evidence of Shufflebottom’s growing presence on the ground in Essex and the east of England. It also illustrates just one type of building of the many we supply to the diverse agricultural sector, including, but not limited to:

  • Equestrian buildings

  • General-purpose buildings

  • Grain stores

  • Hay and straw barns

  • Livestock units

  • Milking parlours

  • Pig units

  • Sheep housing

  • Vegetable stores

We are thrilled that our relationship with A Cullen & Sons Ltd. doesn’t end here. There are more plans afoot for yet more buildings in the pipeline and we’re delighted that we’ll be part of the ongoing story.

We’ve worked with Shufflebottom for a long time and we always have plans for a new building from them.  Shufflebottom are excellent – good buildings and competitive pricing so what more do you want?

Mr Glyn Cullen, Owner, Chase Farm
