Our Man in the North of England
Shufflebottom is delighted to share – and especially with our existing and potential customers in the North of England – that as from today (24th August 2020), we will have a new office in the North of England.
Milestones, collaborations and foundations
At Shufflebottom, we are proud to share the news that we have been selected as official partner and subcontractor to Bouygues UK in the delivery of the £35 million development of Pencoedtre High School, Barry.

Shufflebottom Ltd has been selected as a finalist in the Specialist Contractor of the Year (turnover up to £25m) category of the 2020 Construction News Specialists Awards, the only national awards that recognises the best specialist contractors from across the UK.
And the Winner is…
Even though we have Ellie the Elephant as our Shufflebottom logo, we’re not usually very comfortable with blowing our own trumpet. But we can’t say we’re not pleased about our latest good news.
Last Friday, 11th October, Alex Shufflebottom, one of our three directors here at Shufflebottom, won an award at the Women in Business Awards 2019.
She’s Back!
Earlier this month, drivers passing along the road outside our premises in Cross Hands Business Park, will have been intrigued at the sight of a giant, steel elephant being hoisted into position outside our factory. For some, this was a first glimpse of Ellie, our much-loved logo. For others – including many of us at Shufflebottom – it signalled the long-awaited return of this iconic landmark.
New arrivals!
We are proud to say that we have recently taken delivery of three new Peddinghaus machines: a Peddinghaus DG-1250 mitre Band Saw, a Peddinghaus PCD-1100/3C-Advantage-2 Drill-Line, and a Peddinghaus Shot-Blaster.
Cardiff Half Marathon
On Sunday, 6th October 2019, a group of fifteen of us, including employees and friends of Shufflebottom, will be putting on our running shoes. Together, we’re determined to reach the finishing line at the Cardiff Half Marathon – Wales’ largest road race. And between us, we’re determined that we’re going to raise £3,000 to support the Wales Air Ambulance Charitable Trust
Training Winner
Shufflebottom is delighted to receive the 2019 Training Award from RIDBA, the Rural & Industrial Design & Building Association.
