Strengthening partnerships
Nothing is as satisfying as a continuing relationship and strengthening partnership. And nothing typifies it more as our latest commission from our near-neighbour in Carmarthenshire, Jones Bros. Henllan Ltd.
Established in 1971, Jones Bros. Henllan Ltd. is an independent company with an excellent reputation in the fields of building and civil engineering work to a diverse range of organisations and authorities in both the public and private sectors.
That’s why Jones Bros. Henllan Ltd. was the natural choice of the Sinclair Group, to deliver its new, purpose-built, dual-brand Jaguar LandRover (JLR) dealership at the Swansea Vale Business Park at Llansamlet, Swansea. This arch-concept dealership will continue to strengthen Sinclair’s franchised car retail partnership with Jaguar LandRover (JLR).
Shufflebottom was delighted therefore to be the natural choice to work with Jones Bros. Henllan Ltd to deliver the structural steel at the heart of this facility. The development encompasses a 12-car showroom, a valet building, a 90-car approved used-car forecourt, and an 18-bay after-sales workshop on land near former colliery workings that were filled in by Welsh Government and landowners City and County of Swansea to facilitate this development.
Shufflebottom manufactured and delivered 140-tonnes of hot-rolled steel and 25-tonnes of cold-rolled steel for the showroom and after-sales workshop, 10-tonnes of hot-rolled steel and 3-tonnes of cold-rolled steel for the valet building. And we’re pleased to announce that Shufflebottom began erecting these fabulous structures on-site at the beginning of October 2022, and are on schedule to complete our input within the next month.
Sinclair’s new facility at Swansea Vale Business Park will replace its existing site and will guarantee its customers the finest facilities in magnificent surroundings. The development, in the safe hands of Jones Bros. Henllan Ltd. and us at Shufflebottom, will ensure as per Sinclair’s directive, that the new dealerships is constructed with “sustainable and environmental considerations in mind” including:
a thermally efficient shell and solar panels
the planting of 3,000 shrubs in the landscaping
the instigation of a new wetland habitats created within the site’s infrastructure
It just goes to show what can be achieved with strong partnerships and we’re looking forward to bringing this development to completion so that we can perhaps go and enjoy the full and fantastic customer experience at Sinclair JLR.
