At Shufflebottom we never cease to be amazed by the businesses we deliver our steel-framed buildings to, and their extraordinary stories of success. One such business is HG Heath & Sons of Shipston on Stour in lovely Warwickshire for whom we have recently delivered an agricultural building of huge scope and scale.

At Shufflebottom, we’re delighted and proud that our very own Director, Alex Shufflebottom, has recently been appointed to join the Board at Manufacturing Wales.

A particularly special market for us is the agricultural sector in Scotland where we have a dedicated sales person, Paul Dickson. Over the years, Paul has worked with his customers to build close relationships and understand their needs with the result that our ‘Shuff Sheds’ have a strong and well-respected  presence of on the ground on his home turf.

Shufflebottom has a long and respected history of supplying customers in the agricultural sector with steel-framed buildings since 1977. During that time, our buildings have come to be known in the business affectionately as ‘Shuff Sheds’.

Over the course of our many years supplying steel-framed buildings and structural steel for clients in the agricultural, commercial and industrial sectors, we have had the pleasure of discovering so many interesting businesses and learning about their unique enterprises. Some will stick in our minds for a long time.

Such is the case with our clients CG & RD Brooks of Eurobale, Manor Farm, Widmerpool in Nottingham for whom we have recently manufactured, delivered and erected a steel-framed building supplied to Agricultural Specification.

We often don’t see the super-heroes among us. When Dylan Rogers, our Transport Manager (who started as an HGV driver and has been part of our Shufflebottom #teamof steel for 18 years)  is doing his day job here at Cross Hands, he doesn’t wear a cape!

But, when he’s done at the factory, Dylan is a member of RIDE Cymru,  www.ridecymru.com a group of committed motor-cyclists, who for many years,  have been donning their capes and dressing up in honour of 1970’s legend, Evel Knievel, the world’s first dare-devil motor-cyclist jumper who inspired so many with his awe-inspiring feats and record-breaking stunts.

In early July, Shufflebottom welcomed two fifteen-year-old local Carmarthenshire boys to our headquarters here at Cross Hands for a true taste of work experience in our offices. Gethin and Owain are both pupils at the magnificent bilingual comprehensive (11-18) Ysgol Bro Dinefwr, Llandeilo and have their eyes set firmly on the future.

There’s nothing quite as satisfying for us at Shufflebottom as when a longstanding customer just keeps coming back for more. It’s testament not only to the quality of our steel-framed agricultural buildings, but also to the quality of our customer service.

Such is the case with our lovely Buckinghamshire customer, Mr Philp McIntosh, of Radnage for whom we have recently (May 2024) supplied and erected, not one, but two new buildings for Lower Bottom Farm, where he farms cereals in the rolling hillsides of the Chilterns.
