Shufflebottom embraces Faith in Families as chosen charity for 2024 – 2025
Throughout its long history, Shufflebottom has tried its best to support charities here in Wales that are close to home and close to heart. With so many great causes that need financial support and profile-raising to maintain the valuable work they do, it is sometimes difficult to know where to start.
But the vision and work on the ground of one local charity has made a huge impression on us at Shufflebottom recently and we are proud to announce that we are embracing Faith in Families as our chosen charity for 2024 – 2025.
The Real Deal - another grain store for the Garden of England
The Agricultural Sector is so important to us at Shufflebottom. It was the first sector we dealt with, supplying a single garden gate to a local customer back in 1977. In 2024, the sector has grown, and makes for 60% of our turnover of £25 million.
Shufflebottom delivers yet another farm building to Northamptonshire!
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves at Shufflebottom just how much our business has grown since the early days back in 1977, when we manufactured a single garden gate for a customer. The rest is history, as they say, and today we are proud to manufacture and supply steel-framed buildings and structural steel for projects in postcodes across the UK and beyond.
Shufflebottom helps deliver a high quality space to grow at RYB1
Shufflebottom never fails to feel a sense of pride when our structural steel underpins exciting high quality, low carbon building developments, that meet both aesthetic and sustainability demands.
Such is the case at the Rhyd Y Blew project (RYB1) at Ebbw Vale, at the heart of what is now termed the ‘Tech Valleys.’ Working with our long-term partners, Jones Bros. Ltd, we were commissioned by them to deliver 264.84 tonnes of hot-rolled steel and 60.17 of cold-rolled steel for a new 52,582 sq. ft. manufacturing unit built by Welsh Government, which is now complete and available to let. The development has been built to BREEAM Excellent standards and designed to minimise embodied carbon within its structure.
Cycling fundraiser for Velindre Cancer Centre
There’s been a buzz in the air here at Shufflebottom HQ, Cross Hands over the last few months as Nigel Coleman, our Sales Estimator and valuable part of our #teamofsteel has been gearing up for a very important cycle ride.
As part of the Cefn Cycle Riders Group, Nigel and his fellow cycle enthusiasts have been busy training, raising awareness, selling ticket entry and attracting sponsorship for a fundraising event on two wheels in aid of Velindre Cancer Centre.
In full swing
At Shufflebottom we always look forward to the Agricultural Show Season. It’s a lovely opportunity for our #teamofsteel to meet and greet customers, old and new, and welcome them to chat with us about all that’s going on in the business.
Shufflebottom delivers an agricultural building for an exciting Essex Farm
At Shufflebottom we love to play our part in exciting agricultural adventures and see people’s vision become reality on the ground. Such is the case with Broomhills Farm at Pebmarsh Halstead in Essex, where we have recently supplied an agricultural steel-framed building.
Blue tie balls, big breakfasts, golf and vans
Over the years, Shufflebottom has made it its business to try and do its best to support charities. With so many causes that are in need of funding, this has not always been an easy choice and we wish we could support them all.
